the most important lab report in computer science

The didactic role of laboratory work is extremely large. Perceptions, when performing laboratory work, are based on a larger and more diverse number of sensory impressions. By performing laboratory work, students learn to use devices as tools of experimental cognition, acquire practical skills. In some cases, the scientific interpretation of the concept becomes possible only after the direct acquaintance with the phenomena, which requires the reproduction of experiments by students themselves, including during laboratory work. Execution of laboratory works contributes to the deepening of students’ knowledge of a certain branch of science, the acquisition of new knowledge, acquaintance with modern experimental techniques and the development of logical thinking.
Quantitative relationships between methods of laboratory work cannot be determined normatively, because their choice is influenced by many factors: the relevance of the chosen method to the purpose of the lesson, students’ readiness to perceive the material at a certain level, the content of the experiment. When choosing a method of performing a laboratory experiment, the teacher should be guided by the fact that each work must ensure compliance with the program requirements for experimental training of students, namely, training should be organized in the area of immediate development of each student.
During the defense of laboratory work, the student must perform:
– a summary of the theoretical foundations and stages of laboratory work;
– demonstration of laboratory results;
– answers to the teacher’s questions;
– submission of the final report on the performance of laboratory work.
The report on laboratory work must contain the following components:
– title page (a sample of the title page of the report is in Annex B);
– formulation of the topic and purpose of laboratory work;
– setting a control task for laboratory work (according to the option of a particular student);
– step-by-step description of the course of laboratory work;
– description of the results obtained in the process of laboratory work;
– conclusions;
– list of used literature.

The report on the performance of laboratory work can be issued in the following form:
– written (handwritten, printed, electronic, etc.);
– oral (report, annotated computer show, sound slide show, etc.);
– written and oral.
Oral and written-oral forms of the report are allowed only with the permission of the teacher if the student is fluent in the topic and is able to report it concisely, clearly in oral form.
When drawing up the report, it is necessary to adhere to uniform saturation, contrast and sharpness of the image. All lines, letters, numbers and symbols must be clear and readable throughout the report. Individual words, formulas, signs can be written in the text of the report in black ink, ink or paste. The saturation of the characters of the typed text should be close to the saturation of the characters of the printed text. Errors and graphic inaccuracies in the report submitted on paper may be corrected by cleaning or whitewashing, followed by handwritten or machine-corrected corrections between lines or drawings in black ink or paste. The design of the report should ensure its suitability for making copies of proper quality. Surnames, names of institutions, organizations, companies and other proper names in the report should be given in the original language. It is allowed to transliterate proper names in translation into the language of the report, adding the original name in the text of the report in case of the first mention.
